Computational Biology

Exploring AI Applications in Scientific Discovery

Investigate cutting-edge applications of AI in scientific fields such as biology, chemistry, and physics, identifying areas where AI can drive transformative breakthroughs. Examine how AI models can solve complex problems, such as protein folding, materials discovery, or astrophysical simulations. Propose innovative use cases that push the boundaries of current scientific methodologies, ensuring practical relevance and long-term impact. Students will focus on designing AI-driven tools that enhance experimentation, data analysis, and predictive modeling, paving the way for era-defining advancements.

Developing AI Tools for Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration

Create specialized AI tools that seamlessly integrate with the workflows of scientists across diverse disciplines. Address challenges in data diversity, domain-specific modeling, and interpretability to ensure the tools are adaptable and accessible. Emphasize user-friendly interfaces, scalability, and reproducibility in scientific research. Students will develop prototypes that empower researchers to unlock new insights and approach problems in ways previously unattainable, fostering collaboration between AI experts and domain scientists.

Student Requirements:

This project is designed for students who are passionate about both AI development and at least one scientific discipline. Participants should either have experience in both domains or be highly proficient in one while possessing foundational knowledge in the other to facilitate effective teamwork. Students will collaborate across disciplines to develop AI methodologies that address real-world scientific challenges, contributing to a new era of interdisciplinary research and innovation.

ARC Application Process

Submit a Research Profile

Share your academic background, areas of interest, and any prior experience with research or independent projects. No need for polished credentials—just show us how you think.

Statement of Purpose

Tell us what excites you about research and why you're ready to take on a real project. We look for clarity, curiosity, and commitment—not perfection.

Project Matching & Review

Our team reviews your materials and matches you with a research direction and mentor aligned with your strengths and goals. Select applicants may also be invited for a short conversation with our advisors.

Mentor Invitation

Once matched, you'll receive a formal invitation to join a live project led by a university researcher. This is not a training simulation—you’ll be contributing to real work.

Begin Your ARC Journey

You’ll join a structured research team, receive mentorship, collaborate on defined tasks, and grow as an independent thinker and contributor.
